Improv theater enthusiasts and artists are catching the ongoing Manila Improv Festival 2015 at the PETA Theater Center this week. Headed by Gabe Mercado of the Silly People’s Improv Theater (SPIT), this year’s festival features more than 15 Improv Theater Groups across the globe.
This 3rd Manila Improv Festival also includes a series of Improv workshops for enthusiasts and neophytes who are interested in developing their skills in improvisation, confidence, concentration and even language skills! Some of the workshop series include Physical Training for Performance, Play-Speak Action and Long Form Improv.
Last Thursday, we chanced upon Ariel Diccion and Gabe Mercado of SPIT and John Maloney of Taichung Improv in Taiwan. We had a quick chat for a podcast, that we’d like to share with you.
The Manila Improv Festival 2015 will run until Sunday at the PETA Theater Center. For ticket inquiries you may call the PETA Box Office at (0917) 391 7370 or go to Ticketworld.com.ph. You can also email SPIT at firstname.lastname@example.org.
