Solaire Resort & Casino raised the curtains of its newest crown jewel, THE THEATRE AT SOLAIRE, last Wednesday, November 26, 2014.

The THEATRE AT SOLAIRE is a fan-shaped lyric theater with a seating capacity of 1,760, and is ideal for all forms of the performing arts – be it musical theater, opera, concerto, pop concert, ballet, awards night, competition, circus act, kiddie show or corporate event. I have never been this excited to see such an interior that promises a more intimate, yet an extravagant, venue for a show!

Thomas Arasi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Solaire Resort & Casino took pride in his Opening Remarks, the best light and sound equipment that THE THEATRE has in store for the Filipino audience. It is the first theater in the country, and among the few in the region, that is equipped with the Constellation Acoustic System exclusively provided by Meyer Sound. This groundbreaking technology combines patented algorithm, advanced digital processing, and miniature transducer technology to provide optimal yet flexible acoustical properties of a room to be altered to suit the nature of the event taking place.

It was a night of great stars and unforgettable performances. THE THEATRE’s new Director for Entertainment, Mr. Audie Gemora, opened the show with a lavish, Tony-Award-like opening number with an energy to match NPH. Maestro Gerard Salonga, along with his ABS CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, accompanied the night of music from the country’s performing arts. Lea Salonga, Sam Concepcion, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Karla Gutierrez, Isay Alvarez, Myke Salomon, Karylle, Robert Seña, Yeng Constantino, Martin Nievera and Regine Tolentino ruled the night’s performances with their songs and dances that have captivated the Filipino audience through the years.

Solaire Resort & Casino opened it’s door to a select audience that night. They even gave us the Solaire Watch by Swatch – a limited edition timepiece made exclusively to commemorate the opening of THE THEATRE. I was just so lucky to be invited! I love you, Tito Toots!!!

Here are some of the wonderful photos taken by my friend, and my most favorite photographer, Erickson dela Cruz.

But the most priceless treat of the night is this! Laban ka?!

THE THEATRE at Solaire will formally open it’s door to the public on December 2, 2014 for the Original Broadway Cast of CHICAGO.

Go tell your friends to come see a show at THE THEATRE. Walang biro, it’s a grand venue for theatrical events, yet with its sounds and patented interior designs, you will still feel the intimacy of every performance.

Promise.
