This should have been posted last weekend pa. Pero dahil sa sobrang busy ko, I wasn’t able to find the time.

(click here to read my review).

PETA's Caredivas

It was my first time to visit the PETA Theater in E. Rod. Amazing. They really do have their own theater building located at a very liblib place…well, hindi actually liblib, pero kung tatanga-tanga ka (tulad ko) mahirap makita.

Eto itsura n’ya.

PETA Theater

‘Be and I picked up Red and Alec along E. Rod, si Eko (na siyang nanlibre sa amin) was already at the theater. Pagdating namin, medyo mahaba na ang pila.

Ang daming bakla.

“Red,” bulong ko. “Mamaya daw pagtapos ng show, paglabas natin ng lobby, naka-Chelu set-up na. Tuloy yugyugan.”

“Ay bet ko yan,” sabi ni Red.

Medyo nasa may hulihan kami. Kahit may kilala kaming taga PETA, hindi naming nakuhang magpa-VIP. Strict ang PETA. Walang palakasan.

Seryoso. Kaya kung balak mong manood, makisama ka.

The show was great! No, not just great – it was monumental. A different take on an empowering comedy musical that took the chance to not just entertain but educate as well.

After the show, lumabas ang cast – parang Tanghalang Pilipino na nagpasalamat sa audience for watching.

VInce de Jesus, Jerald Napoles, Dudz Terana

Siempre, piktyuran agad!

Jerald Napoles, 'Be and I

This is Jerald Napoles. Super galing n’ya! Borda ang katawan, ang galing kumanta. Baklang-bakla ang character. Before Act 1 ended, kinilabutan ako sa kanya.

It was only after the show and after I talked to him did I learn that he’s straight!!!

Lalong tumaas ang market value n’ya!

Eto pa.

Jerald with Red and Alec

This is Vince. He’s the musical genius behind HIMALA (The Musical) and ZSA ZSA ZATURNNAH (The Musical). Panalo. Between Zaturnnah and Caredivas, mas keri ang music ng huli.

Vince de Jesus, 'Be and I

I’d like you to meet Thalia. Ang pinaka-tangang baklang character sa musical. Super funny! Napakahirap ng role n’ya kung tutuusin. Pero cool lang siya. And that coolness made a lot of difference!

Alec, Thalia and I

This is Chelsea. Super ganda ng character n’ya. Don’t get me wrong mga bakla. Pinatawa at pinaiyak n’ya ako.

Chelsea and I

This is Phil Noble. He was Jonee in the musical. Super like ko siya! Consistent ang character at baklang-bakla ang dating.

Phil Noble and I

Mwah

Promise! Wag nang kumontra.

‘Be and I, together with his co-faculty and some of my officemates will see it again this March 6. Can’t wait.

PETA’s CAREDIVAS is currently running. They have 10am and 3pm shows every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until March 13 at the PETA Theater somewhere in E. Rodriguez.

Nakailang maniobra. Nakailang ikot before I found the place.

But it was worth it!

PETA’s Caredivas is not just a show – it’s an event!

PS. Super thanks to Eko for giving us free passes! Love ka talaga namin. ‘Di ka nga lang nag-pa-picture, kainis ka.
